Punga stone - Āniwaniwa
  • Punga stone - Āniwaniwa

The form of these stones are based on waka punga/anchor stones.

I decided to use Reo in their naming as I thought the kupu aligned nicely with the way I think of them as bundles of uku to help ground yourself by observing the soft/bumpy/glassy surfaces of them in your hands. Loop your punga onto your keychain or wherever is close by to you!

This punga stone is made from offcuts of leftover larger nerikomi pieces, with a combination of colourful porcelain clay combined into a swirling formation.

    Approx 4cm in width.
